This Valentine’s Day, we decided to book this experience for a special and different kind of evening — and it truly exceeded our expectations. We purchased the full package, and at 2:30 PM our driver picked us up. He was professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. During the drive, he shared interesting stories about old Dubai and pointed out landmarks along the way. We even stopped to watch a camel race, which was fascinating — I had never seen one up close before. From there, we headed into the desert. The driver lowered the tire pressure and gave us an exciting dune bashing experience across the الرمال. At one point, we stopped in the middle of the desert for photos, and he kindly took beautiful pictures of us together. We arrived at the camp around 4:30–5:00 PM and were welcomed with cold drinks and clean towels. Guests were guided to their seating areas to relax and enjoy the beautiful desert weather. There were refreshments, shisha, pizza, and a variety of snacks available. Activities included camel riding, archery, falcon photography, decorative swings for pictures, and even sandboarding. The restrooms were modern, spacious, and very clean. The staff were all polite, professional, and welcoming. Watching the sunset in the desert was truly unforgettable — the scenery and photo opportunities were incredible. The entire venue was beautifully decorated for Valentine’s Day with red roses, candles, and romantic lighting. You could genuinely see the happiness and satisfaction on guests’ faces. After sunset, we were guided to a separate dining area. There was a large central stage with tables arranged around it, and each group was escorted to their assigned seating. Families with children were also well accommodated — kids could enjoy popcorn, watch movies on a large screen, roast marshmallows by the fire, and play in the open desert setting. Dinner was served as a set menu, and throughout the evening there were impressive live performances on stage, including fire shows, balance acts, acrobatics, and traditional Arabic dance. It was truly a beautiful and memorable night, and we had an amazing time. I would absolutely recommend this experience to my friends.

Our evening at Sonara Camp was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we felt transported into a desert fairytale. The activities were a huge hit—we loved the sandboarding, meeting the falcon, and the traditional camel ride at sunset. The entertainment was the real showstopper. The fire show was breathtaking, and the dancers brought so much energy to the dunes. As for the food, every dish was delicious, but the lamb was easily the highlight—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. If you want a luxury desert experience that feels authentic and upscale, this is it!

We travel 3-4 times per year since my husband and I are together (so 12 years). We have been to a number of countries, seen many things, done many activities…. I have to say, theres nothing more i can say than just “amazing”. There were some people who did not give the best google reviews and those people were probably looking to complain for nothing. Ignore them. Sonara camp did a great job. From the pickup at our hotel, to a surprise stop to see Camel racing (that was a thrill!), to the reception to the camp & everything that happened during our stay, I highly recommend Sonara. Its less commercial than some other places which give them their charm & quality. The staff was EXCEPTIONAL. I won’t name everything that you will experience if you book this so i don’t spoil any surprises. Just book ! You will be happy you did !

We booked the dinner experience only at Sonara Camp. We grabbed a yalla there but didn't realise it would be challenging to hail a cab back, but luckily the staff were able to provide this service and dropped us off at the hotel. Definitely make sure you have arranged transportation if you do not opt for the company's one. The camp was so luxurious and the service was amazing. As we only went as two people, it was lot of of food for us, but we got to try a few different things. The fire show was great! Once the show ended, there was no rush for you to leave and we could roam the camp before leaving. The desert does get cooler at night, and you may want to bring a scarf or jacket in case, although I believe blankets are available if you do need it. Overall a great night and experience, and would recommend doing this at least once (lots of people were there for celebration reasons).

5 stars for: The luxury experience that you feel the moment you get picked up outside the conservatory, great team providing you with every tip and information you need to maximize your stay enjoyment. Sunset View was spectacular and it makes you want to freeze the moment. Hospitality team is so nice, friendly and generous. Shout out to Ayman who observed our preferences and made sure to offer more of what we like and gave us a personalized experience while enjoying the sunset, dinner and the show. Can’t say anything about the food other than it was a lot of great options that you won’t regret trying. Nothing came close to ordinary everything tasted great. The nest amenities made us forget that we were in the middle of the desert.
